The Subaru Outback VS The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack

There are a lot of different vehicles on the road and it is easy to see how many Atlanta, Roswell, Alpharetta and Marietta, GA drives will have two or three different vehicles in mind. So to help our customers easily find the information they need to make a well-informed decision we have compared the Subaru Outback to the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack in all the ways that matter most. This way all you have to do is come down for a test drive.

Powertrain

Atlanta drivers spend a fair amount of time behind the wheel and want a vehicle that is fun to drive and fuel efficient; which the Outback does better than the Golf Alltrack. The Golf Alltrack is powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder turbocharged engine that only produces 170 horsepower and gets 22 city MPG. The Subaru Outback, however, has two powertrain options to choose from. The standard 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER engine which generates 175 horsepower and gets 25 city MPG. Or for a more spirited performance choose the available 3.6L six-cylinder engine that kicks out 256 horsepower. The Subaru Outback also can tow up to 2,700 lbs. while the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack can only tow 1,500 lbs.

Safety

Everyone wants to make it home safely and advanced safety features are a major selling point for drivers deciding between two vehicles. And once again the 2018 Subaru Outback outshine the Volkswagen Golf Alltrack. The Subaru Outback is available with Subaru EyeSight Technology. Which is an award-winning combination of four advanced safety features that include Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist with Sway Warning. The Outback also offers drivers with Reverse Automatic Braking, High Beam Assist, and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack is available with some of the same features on select trim levels only.

Price

At the end of the day it all comes down to price and value and no one in the Roswell area wants to pay more for less. The 2018Subaru Outback and Volkswagen Golf Alltrack are neck and neck in starting price but the Outback still cost less and is better equipped. The Outback starts at $25,895 and features more standard features, more powerful and efficient powertrain, and more interior space. The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack starts at $25,995 but to get many of the same features you will have to buy a more expensive model or add additional packages.
