Inside and Out, 2019 Subaru Forester Has Looks and Feel That Are All "Confidence in Motion"

It has only recently arrived at Subaru dealerships here in the Atlanta, GA area, and it's already turning heads, both for its design cues and accommodations.

If the new Subaru does anything at first glance, it looks the part, around East Cobb and up US-19 N to Alpharetta alike. Striking LED headlights in the base become steering-responsive and fog variants in select trims, accenting durable additions like front, side, and rear underguards and lower body cladding. Roof rails come standard on step-up trims to boot, as does a prominent roof spoiler, standard in Forester Premium and later. Finally, the compact SUV sits atop your choice of steel or hard-wearing aluminum-alloy wheels, engirded by all-season tires. Choose a model like the all-new Forester Sport, and you get unique styling like gloss-black trim, contrasting orange accents to otherwise sleek black underguards and roof-rail mounts, one-of-a-kind badging, and 18-inch alloy wheels in the trim's hallmark black finish.

Of course, its interior is just as attractive. The cabin sprawls anywhere from 107.8 to 111.9 cubic feet, home to high-quality materials soft to the touch and towered over by an available panoramic moonroof. Seating comes in your selection of cloth, sport cloth, or leather trim, it's available heated front and rear, optionally power-adjustable for the driver, and it can even recline for riders in the back in select models -- digs anyone can look forward to, whether for a short drive to Decatur or a longer one up to Roswell. Plus, with Subaru having widened the front seating area in the new Forester by 1.2 inches, as well as lengthened its wheelbase to 105.1 inches, you can count on significantly more space up front as well as better rear legroom -- both excellent for taller passengers.

But the wraparound dash is where cutting a figure and cutting through the thick of it on the way to your next adventure truly come together. The cockpit setup provides intuitive control, front and center-stack, with either a 6.5- or 8.0-inch SUBARU STARLINK&#trade; touchscreen within reach, flanked by an optionally heated steering wheel and, behind, up to 76.1 cubic feet of space for cargo with rear seats folded. In 2019 Forester Sport, accommodations become two-tone cloth upholstery, adorned with orange contrast stitching.
