2018 Subaru Crosstrek & 2018 Subaru WRX Earn Top Honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS)

For its sixth consecutive year, the Subaru Crosstrek has earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick designation, with the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek earning the highest classification, a 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick+. It wasn't the only Subaru model to garner such a high score—the 2018 Subaru WRX also earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, extending its own streak to three.

We're incredibly proud of the 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and WRX for their top scores from the IIHS. Both vehicles earn a Top Safety Pick designation when equipped with Subaru EyeSight®, and they each earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation when equipped with Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology and LED Steering Responsive Headlights. If you're looking for a safe bet, we know two right off the top of our heads!

“Subaru is committed to developing the highest safety standards for our vehicles,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc., “and receiving the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for all our 2018 models equipped with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights proves this commitment to our customers.” —from an October 6, 2017 Subaru Press Release

The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and the 2018 Subaru WRX are two different cars for different types of drivers, but they share a few things, and a passion for safety is certainly one of them.
